Ford Model T Diecast Model Cars for Sale
The Ford Model T was one of the most significant cars in motoring history. The Model T was responsible for making automobiles affordable and obtainable for ordinary people.
Built by Henry Ford’s manufacturing company using assembly-line production techniques, the Model T was recognized for being the very first mass-produced automobile, drastically lowering costs. With a retail price of around $850 in 1908 dropping to around $260 by the 20s the Model T made it possible for average families to buy a car.
The T’s simple and sturdy design made it easy to repair and provided unmatched reliability for the era. Its high ground clearance meant owners could traverse rough roads with ease. The unique driving controls in the T were very different to modern cars.
With 15 million units sold between 1908 and 1927 Ford changed the world by providing greater personal mobility and creating the blueprint for assemby-line manufacturing.
There are some highly desirable Ford Model T diecast models available, ranging from very affordable collectibles to highly detailed, supremely built examples. For the beginner, brands such as Signature Models and Metal Earth offer great value while avid collectors can find good investment opportunities in brands such as Motormax and Sun Star.
