Carfection reviews the new Aston Martin DB11 AMR
Replacing the outgoing V12-engined grand tourer the DB11 AMR becomes the flagship of the Aston Martin DB11 range. Boasting more power, better performance, improved driving dynamics and updates to the exterior and interior the new model addresses many of the criticisms of the original and delivers effortless GT performance.
The AMR brand extends the performance for each model in Aston Martin’s range. Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017, the high performance derivative has already given us the previous-generation Vantage AMR and AMR Pro, with the Rapide AMR arriving soon.
The DB11 AMR is powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 developing 630 bhp (up by 30 bhp) and 700 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) in 3.7 seconds (an improvement of 0.2 sec over the outgoing model) and reach a top speed of 208 mph.
